Girls and guys can't be friends if there is an attraction?? Whats your experience, and advice?

a guy i live with , seems to like me, always hugging me, teasing me, and extremely nice. But im not sure at what level his interest is. He keeps to himself mostly, but then when he is around me there is definatley an attraction between us.


when i said i was sad that none of my friends lived in the area any more, he said to me well 'I can never be your friend' I dont know what he meant by that. what did he mean?Girls and guys can't be friends if there is an attraction?? Whats your experience, and advice?

Hmm, actually there are anomalies to the rule. I've found that I can be friends with guys who have girlfriends, and we don't have any attraction with each other. BUT when someoen is friends with a single person, there is almost always an attraction between them from my experience.

I think he means because he likes you he wants to be more than a friend and i think its his hint to say i want to be more than a friend because a boy i used to like said to me one time well first of all we were talking about friends and nobody likes my friends and we were talking and he went you only have say 12 friends well and me so he was saying hes not my friend at the time i was kind of upset but then he said he doesnt go out with his friends and i was like omg !! but now we are kind of close and always arguing but i dont like him but ye i think this boy wants to be more than friends by sayin that so the next move is up to you
Twice in my life I've tried to be friends with a woman (outside of work). In both cases I developed feelings for her that go beyond friendship. I think that its effectively impossible for men and women to be friends outside of work.

He definitely has an attraction to you, but he is probably confused. Usually people say that when they are flirting or they want to hear your reaction. If you like him to, then you should express your feelings to him. If you don鈥檛 and just want to be friends, tell him you feel uncomfortable.
