I can't decide what to get my fiance for Christmas. I was going to get him either an iPod shuffle and an itunes gift card or a larger iPod like a nano, but he went and bought one so that idea is out.
I always try to give something personal if possible, so maybe you guys can help me decide what would be good. Here are a few things I've come up with, so let me know if you think one would be a good idea, and also let me know other ideas you might have!
--he has been losing weight and recently lost 30 pounds. I don't know his style, and I don't like to give gift cards; I was thinking about maybe as his present offering to go shopping with him and buy him some new clothes? Maybe like take him somewhere nicer like Macy's that he can't usually afford to go to (he's a single dad) and buy him a really nice shirt or something? He does like clothes. I figured also, this would allow us good quality time together as well.
--his birthday is in January, so I was thinking also of possibly combining what I would spend on both into one present. We live 800 miles apart while I'm in grad school. He's coming to my graduate recital in April and I'm coming home for spring break, but besides that, we won't see each other all semester. I thought about maybe as a gift offering to pay for a plane ticket for him to come see me; he works a lot and would enjoy a weekend away. Plus I live in Florida and could offer to take him to the beach or to Disney or something.
Would either of these be good? Be honest. Also, please give me other good gift ideas. :)

If you need us to tell you then you shouldnt be marrying this fellow. This proves you dont really know him or have any vested interests in what he likes or what his hobbies are.
You're in school and have no problem spending MEGA money?? (Take him to Disney? Does that include his kid, too?)
You're engaged and don't know his style??
You need to shop to spend quality time together?
I think maybe. .. no, I'll just keep my mouth shut.
Don't go overboard, I'll leave it at that.
