I want to ask this girl I really like to go to the movies...but I can't drive yet...so if (well, hopefully...';when';) she says yes..I can't say ';pick you up at 8'; or something...


She's older than me, but is it weird if I ask her to drive...?


Or is it weird if one of my parent's drive?

ok my daughter is 16 almost 17 and when she didnt drive we took her and her current bf to the movies and dropped them off, or his parents took them and we picked them up, so its not big deal either way, you can ask her to drive just put it simple i dont have a car yet, maybe you could drive and we could go to a move or get ice cream what ever, make it simple and make it happen! good luck

im gonna go with sandi on this one, set up a ride with your/her friends, not only will it get you out of that situation but also will make it a bit less awkward... also at that time, work her friends, not her... she'll have to get approval from them later...

When do you get your driver's license? if possible you can get it before you take her out. or, you can ask her to meet you somewhere and get your parents to drop you off there and pick you up once she leaves
If you can't drive yet, then she should understand. If she knows that, she might offer to drive. Or if you say that you and your parents will be by to pick her up at a certain time... maybe she'll take the hint. Of course you could just ask her to meet you there since you can't drive. Make sure she knows you would drive if you could.
