Guy is being a big jerk. Need advice--preferably from guys?

I know it looks like a lot, but it's not. Please read!





To sum my story up, there's this guy in my gym class. For the past two weeks, he keeps on trying to be around me (during exercises he tries to be next to me, sitting next to me during points--which b.t.w. are telling how good you did in class before we leave, and today he was in my group even though there was about 5 other groups he could've chosen from).





But he was a total jerk in the group. The guy keep's on wanting to be with me for some reason, but than he acts like a jerk around me.





And the previous times before he kept on pushing me off a bench and smiling about it, and after that in the weight room when I was in front of him putting my weights away when he was gently hitting the back of my leg's with his. I turned around and he was smiling--again (even when I said what's your problem!)





Ahhh! What does this mean?

I THINK HE MIGHT BE BEING CHILDISH ABOUT HIS FEELING S FOR YOU. SO HE MIGHT BE HITTING YOU BECAUSE HE LIKES YOU. OR HE COULD JUST BE A FREAK BUT I HIGHLY DOUBT IT. YOU SHOULD TALK TO HIM AND ASK HIM WHATS HIS PROBLEM. IF YOU DONT WANT TO TALK TO HIM FACE TO FACE, THEN TRY TEXTING HIM OR SOMETHING LIKE A NOTE. ITS EASIER.
It means that he likes you alot but doesnt know how to show it. The only way he knows how to communicate with you is by being a jerk (trying to act cool when he is not, etc)
it sounds like he probably likes you but is really bad at showing it. you should tell him to quit being so obnoxious or something like that.
He is immature and disrespectful. Stay away.

and the reason he's being a jerk is because he's getting a vibe from you that you're not interested....so his defence is to pretend that he doesn't want you.

If you want to be respected by guys, especially if you're pretty....treat people nicely...and they'll find you much more attractive...especially as you get older.

I'm not a guy but he is probably just doing them things to get your attention, it's stupid how some guys act like 5year olds but they usually good intentions. But that sounds seriously annoying, next time he does something stupid just turn around and say calmly ';do you mind';. He may get the point but considering he is acting like a little kid you may need to spell it out. But saying that some girls act like jerks around others trying to be impressive, they dont get the fact it doesn't impress us girls but they are usually like that are friends but real sweet when your alone so maybe if you go to know him a bit better he might be nicer but if not and you don't like him just stay away.

Guys that act like that are usually immature and unpleasant to be around. He may like you but you don't really want a guy like him. Being a jerk is just a guys expression of immaturity because that is how they are and how they might show their affection so if your looking for somebody, go for a guy that doesn't act like that. If you want the ';immature little boy'; to stop bugging you, just ask him to stop by saying stuff that should get to him like ';Stop being so immature!'; and if that doesn't work then tell a teacher. Your just on a different level of maturity then he is so just leave him behind :D
How old is this guy? The last time I heard about that type of behavior was 4th or 5th grade. By nature guys can be jerks when we like a girl. However, this behavior seem to be a little bizarre. By the way, how do you feel about the guy? You letter does not sound as if you feel threatened by him just confused by his actions. My advice is to pull him to the side and ask him what the deal is. If you do feel a little scared as a girlfriend to be with you when you talk to him.
