The reason I am asking for guys to answer is b/c I want some insight into their thoughts...
My b/f %26amp; I are in a long distance relationship right now. His job has him assigned to Florida while I am at home w/o him. We managed to meet up for Christmas which was nice but he ';forgot'; my gift at home. I spent a lot of time trying to find the perfect gifts for him. So, I just chalked it up to his not feeling well.
Yesterday, I had planned to send him balloons %26amp; cookies but he specifically told me (about a dozen times) NOT to send him anything. He told me that the guys at work messed with him really bad the last time I did so. BUT, he blew this holiday for me off as well.
I know guys don't care about V-Day as much as girls do. But, his seeming lack of concern makes me wonder just how much he really cares.
So, come on, tell me honestly (brutal honesty not needed-my day yesterday was bad enough).Valentine's Day Advice wanted-from guys please!?
I think there are 2 issues here. First, if this kind of behavior really bothers you, get used to it, because you won't change it if you continue with this guy. If he can't be as thoughtful as you, after only 8 mo of dating, then he certainly won't get any better.
Secondly, guys do get harrassed if their girl is sending them stuff. Instead of being proud of it, and telling the other guys that they are just jealous, he is uncomfortable. That should also give you an idea about what kind of guy he is deep down. Bottom line: it won't get any better, so you better figure out if you want this.
