well im 18, going to be a freshmen at Duke, and would like to finally in my life, consistently workout, and eat healthier
im really skinny (5'9 and around 130-135 ) but kind of flabby in my stomach/chest area...and would like to gain weight/muscle everywhere in my body, yet lose weight in my stomach-chest area. im afraid that if i start running, ll just lose even more weight and look thinner yet still be flabby in my gut
when i wake up, should i eat breakfast and then immediately work out? or work out on an empty stomach... what are some good types of food to eat to gain weight... and basically most importantly how do i gain weight, yet lose weight in other areas at the same time? this may sound like a ridiculous question, but it seriosuly describes me
as the question states, im looking for baby steps at first, and dont want to start with some routine that takes serious commitment and perseverance... hopefully ill build to that, but want to start out with a reasonable levelHey guys , i need some advice for working out BABY STEPS THOU!?
Every major University has an athletic department. Since you will be going to Duke check out their Strength and Conditioning program at this site: http://www.goduke.com/ViewArticle.dbml?D鈥?/a>
Most universities require to to take a physical education class anyway. Check with the instructor or some of the other guys in the gym.
For now go to your local (hate to say it) YMCA and take some Conditioning classes at their gym.
Good Luck on your Mission to Master your Body!
(I have to chuckle a little. They must have been in a hurry to get this section of the site up and running because they could have taken care of the flash reflection in the mirror.)
